Collective Worship
Daily Collective Worship is a key part of how we cherish our school community and keep our ethos at the centre of everything we do. Worship takes place at the start of the school day so that everyone has the chance to engage meaningfully with a variety of concepts and stories and reflect on how we live as a school community.
Collective Worship is led by teachers and visitors. Regular visitors include Rev Sara (Anglican), Rev Angy (Methodist) and Andy Housam (Joy Foundation). Within collective worship there are opportunities for celebration, participation, prayer, reflection and song.
Each week children have the opportunity to consider topical issues affecting the wider world through the Picture News resource. This encompasses opportunities for children to consider events in the news through the lens of British Values as well as through the four key themes and habits which shape our life in school.
On Friday mornings we celebrate children's achievements both within and outside school. Parents and carers are welcome to join us for this worship which begins at 8.45.
